Anloga MP inspects Avete School Park redevelopment project

Anloga (VR), Feb 21, GNA- Mr Richard Kwame Sefe, the Member of Parliament (MP) for the Anloga Constituency in the Volta Region, has inspected the project site for the redevelopment of the Avete School Park, and commended the progress of work.

The visit also enabled the MP to assess the project’s status and interact with the team on the site and urged them to ensure timely completion for the benefit of the youth and the community.

Mr Sefe, during the visit expressed excitement and gratitude on the progress of the redevelopment project which has been supported by EXIM Bank, and Mr Sylvester Mensah, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the bank’s management for their commitment to the project.

The MP also appreciated the leadership of the Anlo Dukor Council, represented by the Awadada of Anlo Dukor, for their guidance and role in the negotiation process.

“Let me use this opportunity and thank my good brother and colleague, Mr Kwame Dzudzorli Gakpey, for ceding the project to the Anlo Constituency in the spirit of cooperation and development,” he said.

He said that the redevelopment of the Avete School Park is expected to provide a safe and vibrant recreational space for the youth with astro turf to promote sports development and strengthen community unity to unearth more skills and talents in the area.

Mr Atsu Tetteh, a resident of the area, said that the project was a testament to the collaborative efforts of stakeholders including the District Chief Executive (DCE), Madam Seyram Sandra Kpedor and others for working towards the progress of Anlo.

He said the MP’s visit demonstrated a total commitment to ensuring the project’s success to benefit all in various forms while the redevelopment project is a significant initiative that would enhance the quality of life for residents and promote community engagement.

Mr Tetteh mentioned that the project’s completion would provide a much-needed recreational space for the youth and promote sports development in the area.

He expressed appreciation to the support received from EXIM Bank and other stakeholders which underscored the importance of partnerships in driving development projects.

The redevelopment of the park is expected to have a positive impact on the community to foster unity and promote social cohesion, and the MP’s efforts to ensure the project’s success was seen as a reflection of dedication to serving the Anlo constituency.

The Avete School Park redevelopment project was described as a significant milestone in the constituency’s development agenda, and its completion would be a testament to the power of collaboration and collective effort.
