Accra, Feb. 12, GNA – An Accra Circuit Court has remanded two men accused of robbery on Christmas Eve into police custody.

The accused, Seth Noi Tetteh alias “Wonder” and Emmanuel Selasi Munyekor, both 20, had been on the police wanted list over alleged robbery expeditions.

They have been charged with conspiring to rob three persons of assorted mobile phones valued at GH¢49,112.

Sulemana Abdul-Rahaman, their alleged accomplice, is on the run.

The Court ordered the duo to reappear on February 17, 2026.

Police Chief Inspector Abigail Offeibea said the complainants were police personnel from the Office of the Special Operations Assistant to the Inspector-General of Police.

She said Tetteh, an Okada rider from Kpone-Tema, and Munyekor, a driver’s mate from Papase-Kasoa, had been linked with Abdul-Rahaman, also known as Mubarak, who is at large.

Chief Inspector Offeibea said on December 24, 2025, the Office received information that Tetteh and Munyekor, who had been on the wanted list, had committed a series of robberies within Accra and Tema and were spotted at Ashaiman and Kasoa-Ofaankor.

She said Tetteh was later arrested at Ashaiman-Atadeka and during interrogation admitted involvement in robberies at Afienya, Atadeka, Apollonia and other areas.

He mentioned accomplices including Munyekor and Abdul-Rahaman.

The prosecution said Tetteh disclosed that they had collected money and phones at gunpoint in Airport Residential Area, Apollonia, Oyibi and Adenta, and named dishonest receivers of stolen items.

On January 27, 2026, police intelligence led Tetteh to Kasoa-Ofaankor where Munyekor was arrested.

Munyekor told police their weapons were hidden in Abdul-Rahaman’s room.

A BRUNI pistol with five rounds of ammunition and a pump-action gun were retrieved, but Abdul-Rahaman escaped.

Police said investigations revealed Tetteh and Munyekor were already facing trial at the Ashaiman Circuit Court for a similar offence.

The prosecution said investigations were ongoing and a manhunt was underway for Abdul-Rahaman and other accomplices.
