Rome, Jan 30, (dpa/GNA) – A 95-year-old patient and two paramedics were killed in Sicily, when the ambulance they were travelling in collided with a lorry, Italian news agency ANSA reported on Friday.
The ambulance was on its way from Palermo to Agrigento, when it collided head-on with the lorry near the town of Misilmeri, south-east of Palermo, police said.
All three passengers, including the dialysis patient, died at the scene, according to ANSA.
The cause of the crash on Thursday was initially unclear.
Traffic on the national motorway was briefly interrupted.
