NPP Sunyani West delegates arrive at voting center early for Presidential Primary

Odomase, (Bono), Jan. 31, GNA – Highly expectant delegates of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Sunyani West constituency arrived early at the Presby Social Center at Odomase, the constituency capital to cast their ballots in the on-going Presidential Primary of the party.

A visit by the Ghana News Agency (GNA) noticed many of the delegates in queues, as the officials of the Electoral Commission (EC), the supervisors of the elections prepared the center for voting to commence 0700 hours.

Though the atmosphere was calm, there was a heavy police presence with personnel positioned at strategic locations to maintain law and order.

The GNA gathered that a total of 1,061 delegates in the constituency were expected to cast their ballots.

They are deciding on Alhaji Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, the former Vice President, Abetifi Member of Parliament (MP) and former Food and Agriculture Minister Dr Bryan Acheampong and Bosomtwe MP and former Education Minister Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum to lead the NPP in the Election 2028.

Other presidential hopefuls include the former NPP General Secretary Kwabena Agyepong and Mr Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, former MP for Assin Central.
