Istanbul, Jan 13, (dpa/GNA) – A female judge in Turkey, has been shot by a male prosecutor in her office at an Istanbul court, the state news agency Anadolu reported on Tuesday.
The shooting at a regional appeals court, followed an argument between the 45-year-old judge and 33-year-old lawyer.
The judge suffered a gunshot wound to the groin area. Her condition is not life-threatening, but she required surgery.
The alleged perpetrator was arrested. He is being investigated for attempted murder.
Anadolu, citing the public prosecutor’s office, said that both had previously worked together at a court in Istanbul.
