Nkwanta (O/R), Jan 15, GNA – The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) has called on car and motorbike owners across the country to take advantage of the ongoing exercise to update their records into the national digital registration. Â
According to the Authority, the activity mainly targets individuals who registered their vehicles after 2023.
Mr. Stephen Attsuh, Director, Corporate Affairs, DVLA, in an interview with the Ghana News Agency, on the sidelines of a media campaign explained that the process was crucial to smooth and efficient transition when the nationwide number plate issuance programme begins.
He said the exercise would also serve as an easy tracing of stolen vehicles.
Mr. Attsuh stressed that the update is being carried out at an approved fee of GHS25.
He also warned the public against engaging the service of intermediaries or middlemen, noting that the process is straightforward and can be completed directly at the DVLA offices.
“This is part of our broader digital enhancement effort, and every vehicle owner should take advantage of it to avoid any future changes, when the new number plates roll out,” he said.
