Christians celebrate new year with joy, anticipate a successful 2026

Keta (VR), Jan. 01, GNA- Christians in the Keta Municipality of the Volta Region have welcomed the new year with joy in anticipation of a successful 2026. 

As some reflected on challenges faced in 2025, many looked forward to a brighter future and prayed to God for more blessings and successes for progressive living. 

Pastor Stephen Gbogbogah of Living Hands Ministry Church at Keta, in his 31st night preaching message, urged Christians to keep their hope in Christ and emphasised the importance of faith in the new year. 

“Believers, we need to pray for profitable investments and growth, we need to keep faith in God and pray for his guidance and protection always. Let us work towards our faiths,” he said. 

He stressed the need to forgive each other, reconcile, and unite for God’s blessing, to promote harmony, peace and togetherness for quality collaboration, for the benefit of all members and individuals in the various communities. 

He stated that the new year was not just about celebration, but about starting new, continuing with faith, and not losing hope, and urged individuals to ask for forgiveness from others as well as forgive those who went wrong against them, so they  could begin the new year with a clean heart. 

“As a Christians we are to encourage, support and uplift another to face the future with hope and build faith stronger and hope in God,” he said.  

Pastor Gbogboga explained that by being faithful, believers could become the people God wants them to be and live a life of purpose and meaning, that are expected from a responsible believers and Christians. 

His messages also emphasised that Christians must pray without ceasing and trust in God for direction and provision in 2026 to avoid being left out on God’s blessing. 

As the year changed, many looked to new opportunities, seeking successes and prosperity with God’s guidance, while various encouraging words from pastors brought comfort, inspiration, motivation to Christians and believers to stay positive and focus on their faith. 

Many Christians GNA spoke with welcomed 2026 with open hearts and prayed for blessings, peace, and progress and described the new year as a symbol of a fresh start, a chance to renew commitments to God and pursue dreams with hope. 

In unity and faith, many Christians and other believers looked forward to a successful 2026 with much trust in God’s plan and purpose for a successful year.
