Ho, Dec. 15, GNA – Vokia Foods Limited has paid a courtesy call on Mr James Gunu, the Volta Regional Minister, ahead of its second annual End-of-Year Excellence Awards.

The visit, led by Mr Vozbeth K. Azumah, the Chief Executive of the Company, formed part of preparations for the awards ceremony and engagement with key regional stakeholders.

Mr Azumah expressed gratitude to the Minister for his continued support for local businesses, saying such encouragement strengthened emerging enterprises.

He also commended the Volta Regional Coordinating Council (VRCC) for initiatives promoting local industry, particularly the just-ended Volta Trade and Investment Fair, which gave visibility to growing brands.

He briefed the Minister on Vokia Foods’ operations as a fast-growing, locally owned food-processing company in the Agotime-Ziope District.

He said the company was contributing to job creation and local economic growth in the region.

He said the visit was to formally invite the Minister to the Vokia Foods End-of-Year Excellence Awards on the theme: “From Promise to Progress; Celebrating the People Behind the Growth.”

Mr Azumah said the event would recognise the commitment and resilience of staff and partners driving the company’s success.

The management also presented an overview of the proposed Vokia Industrial City Project, planned for 2026 to 2029, which would include production blocks, packaging halls, offices, staff accommodation, and recreational facilities.

The project is expected to generate over 200 direct jobs and more than 500 indirect jobs upon completion.

Vokia Foods further indicated its intention to partner the VRCC from 2026 to support social development initiatives in education, health, nutrition, and youth empowerment, and expressed appreciation for the warm reception and continued collaboration.
