Tarkwa (W/R), Dec. 9, GNA – The University of Mines and Technology (UMaT), Tarkwa, has conferred an Honorary Doctorate Degree on Dr Justice Amoh, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of JUSTMOH Construction Limited, in recognition of his contributions to national development.
Speaking in an interview with journalists after award at the 17th Congregation of UMaT, Dr Amoh emphasised the importance of discipline as a key developmental factor in achieving success in various endeavours.
He said hard work and dedication were necessary in achieving personal goals regardless of one’s circumstances.
Dr Amoh expressed gratitude to the University for the recognition, and said the JUSTMOH group would stay motivated and focused despite the challenges.
“This award from UMaT has opened my mind and eyes that people are watching whatever you are doing in this world, and so we must always be mindful of public perception as people are always watching.”
Personally, the impact of this award will inspire me to continue to contributing to the industry,” he stated.


Dr Theophilus Andoh-Robertson, the Registrar of UMaT, in a citation, noted that the works of Dr Amoh, describing him as an industrial leader and philanthropist who had significantly strengthened key sectors of the economy.
These, he mentioned, include the construction and infrastructure, real estate, extractive industries, petroleum, and hospitality sectors.
“He has built and led major indigenous enterprises, such as JUSTMOH Construction Limited and Atlantic Concrete Products, which have driven critical infrastructure growth, including roads, commercial facilities, and industrial plants, healthcare facilities, providing critical resources to national security agencies, and donating to special education schools,” Dr Andoh-Robertson said.
Professor Richard Amankwah, the Vice Chancellor of UMaT, recognised the contributions of Dr Amoh in developing and building a drainage system and 1.5km asphalt road for the School of Railway and Infrastructure Development (SRID) campus, at Essikado.
