Effia (WR), Dec. 26, GNA – Some 40 new borns are expected to receive a well stock hamper of baby items from the Mobile Telecommunication Network, (MTN) within the Western Region and beyond.
The gesture, which had become an annual calendar event for the company, continued to put smiles on the faces of mothers while, blessed Christmas children who shared a date with Christ have a gift to make their new beginnings worth living.
Mr Ken Ofosuhene, the South West Communication Head of MTN said the company had sustained the annual gesture because of an experience where a mother had reported for delivery without any delivery kit.
“We are not just deepening community relations but to also give hope to such mothers who cannot afford all it required to nurture a new soul,” he added.
The Mothers at Effia-Nkwanta Regional Hospital and Essikado hospital beaming with smiles despite their caesarean pains expressed gratitude to the company for such magnimity.
Madam Veronica Nkum, the Senior Midwife praised the MTN for the gesture year on year and prayed for a prosperous business terrain in 2026.
She, however asked MTN to construct additional maternity facility to enable the hospital take the load associated with peak time of delivery.
