Atebubu, (Bono East) Dec. 01, GNA – The Konkoma Youth Association (KOYA) in Atebubu Amantin Municipal has held its mini-convention to renew their commitments to peace and development.
The convention, under the theme, “Promoting Agriculture and Peace, the Way Forward to Sustainable Peace and Development in Kikpakpaang,” provided a platform for KOYA members to renew their commitment to uplifting their communities through agriculture, education, culture, youth empowerment, peaceful coexistence, and development.
Mr Atebubu Amantin, Hon. Thomas Maswud Yaw Ayarba, the Municipal Chief Executive of Atebubu Amantin, commended KOYA for choosing a relevant theme, emphasising the importance of education in bridging the gap between the rich and the poor.
He encouraged the gathering to prioritise education to enable them to fulfill their future careers.
Mr Ayarba reaffirmed the government’s commitment to making agriculture more impactful, highlighting the agricultural policies, and promising more support for farmers in the coming months.
Mr Dominic Nitiwul, former Minister for Defence and member of Parliament for Bimbila constituency in the Northern Region, urged KOYA members to foster brotherliness and peaceful coexistence, emphasising its importance for their existence.
The programme was attended by KOYA members from various communities, including Fiano, Sabidi, Muruchuso, Kotope, Trohwe, Praprabon, Nyansibu, Ahoto, Adom, Duabone, and Garadima.
