Accra, Dec. 14, GNA – Apostle Eric Nyamekye, Chairperson of the Church of Pentecost, Sunday dedicated an ultramodern 2,500-seat church auditorium at Trasacco, urging Christians to live upright lives that attract the presence of God.
The facility, donated by the Jospong Group of Companies, will serve both the Pentecost International Worship Centre (PIWC), Trasacco, and the E-Church congregation.
Dr Joseph Siaw Agyepong, Executive Chairman of the Jospong Group, and his wife, Dr Mrs Adelaide Siaw Agyepong, also handed over a fully furnished mission house for the resident minister at a special service in Accra.
Apostle Nyamekye, delivering a sermon ahead of the dedication, said the presence of God in a church was not guaranteed by infrastructure but by the Christlike lives of the congregation.
“If you want the glory of God to be in the temple, we must watch our lives,” he said, adding that living a holy life should be intentional and sustained.
He noted that while church buildings and service instruments could be dedicated, the true dwelling place of God’s holiness was in the believer, urging Christians to align their conduct with their faith.
“The presence of God is your benefit, but it is contingent on the kind of life you will live,” Apostle Nyamekye emphasised.
He called on the Church to re-examine its approach to worship, explaining that gatherings without God’s presence amounted to mere assemblies.
“Let us change the way we do church and God will comfortably be with us,” he said, observing that many church services had become entertainment events devoid of the fear of God.

Dr Agyepong said the construction of the auditorium was not an achievement but a testimony of God’s grace in his life and business journey.
“This dedication is a testimony, not an achievement,” he said, describing the facility as a gift to the Church of Pentecost and an expression of gratitude to God.
He explained that the donation was rooted in his conviction that business and faith were inseparable, stressing that prayer remained central to the success of the Jospong Group.
“Business is also spiritual, and prayer must always come first,” Dr Agyepong said, noting that decisions guided by prayer had shaped the growth and sustainability of the group.
He said the Church of Pentecost had played a significant role in shaping his character, discipline and spiritual foundation, making the donation an expression of appreciation.
“The Church taught me to fear God before fearing men, and that success without Christ is failure,” he said.

The dedication service was attended by dignitaries including Mr Julius Debrah, Chief of Staff and a member of the Trasacco PIWC, Mr Bernard Ahiafor, First Deputy Speaker of Parliament and Member of Parliament for Akatsi South, captains of industry, clergy and traditional leaders.
Apostle Nyamekye led prayers for Dr Agyepong and his family, the Jospong Group, captains of industry and the prosperity of Ghana.
He urged Ghanaians to be patriotic, admonishing them not to curse the national flag under any circumstances or denigrate their nationality.
