Volta RFA secures GH¢150,000 sponsorship deal

Ho, Nov 10, GNA – The Volta Regional Football Association (VRFA) has sealed a GH¢150,000 headline sponsorship agreement with Mart ‘D’ Electrical and Construction Works for the 2025/2026 Division Two League Season. 

The Memorandum of Understanding was signed on Friday by Mr Daniel Agbogah, VRFA Chairman and Mr Martin Davidson, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Mart ‘D’ Electrical and Construction Works at the Association’s Secretariat in Ho.  

The deal marks a major boost for the league and football development in the Volta and Oti regions. 

Mr Agbogah expressed gratitude on behalf of the Executive Council and stakeholders, describing the support as timely.  

“I wish to express my profound gratitude to the CEO of Mart D Electricals Company for coming to our aid at this very important moment of the game in our regions.”  

“This sponsorship is timeous and a game changer. Our football is faced with a lot of challenges and requires a lot of investment and resources to have these challenges addressed,” he noted. 

The VRFA Chairman said the funds would be put to effective use to grow the game.  

“I can assure you of Executive Council’s commitment to ensuring that this sponsorship is put to effective use to enhance the development of the game in the Volta and Oti regions,” he said, adding that participation fees would not be increased for the new season. 

Mr Davidson commended the RFA for its progress in transforming football in the region.  

He said his company’s decision to sponsor the league was influenced by the visible dedication of the Association’s leadership and its belief in providing opportunities for young people. 

“I have noticed passion, hard work, commitment and selfless dedication of the leadership of the Volta RFA.”  

“This is why our company could not hesitate to support this cause that will give hope and career opportunity to the youth of the Volta and Oti Regions.”
