Volta Development Forum to honour initiators of Volta Trade and Investment Fair

Ho, Nov 26, GNA – The management and partners of the Volta Development Forum (VDF) is set to honour Colonel Cyril Necku (rtd) and the late Dumega Raymond Okudzeto as the initiators of the Volta Trade and Investment Fair. 

The recognition would take place at this year’s Volta Trade and Investment Fair, currently underway, under the auspices of the Volta Regional Coordinating Council (VRCC). 

A communique’ signed by Mr Daniel Kojo Agboka-Dzegede, the Executive Director of VDF, described Col Necku and Dumega Okudzeto as true patriots, whose unwavering dedication to the region’s progress had birthed the Volta Trade and Investment Fair, “an indelible mark we cannot ignore to honour.”  

The illustrious duo, have laid a firm foundation, which continues to inspire and shape subsequent Fairs, it said.  

As a grateful organisation, VDF, a dedicated partner behind successive organisations of the Volta Fair, would honour Col Necku’s and posthumously acknowledge their outstanding contributions as recognition of their commitment to the collective progress of the region. 

“We further commend the former Regional Minister, Dr Archibald Yao Letsa and the current Regional Minister, Mr James Gunu, both ardent members of VDF for their dedicated leadership to advancing trade and investment prospects of the region,” the statement added. 

The Forum rallies its support behind the VRCC for a fruitful outcome of the 2025 version of the Volta Trade and Investment Fair.
