Early Power Limited donates medical supplies to Bediako CHPS Compound

Bediako, Oct. 28, GNA-Early Power Limited, an independent power producer operating within the Kpone-Katamanso Municipality, has donated assorted medical supplies and consumables to the Bediako Community-Based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) Compound in the Nmlitsakpo Electoral Area. 

The donation, according to the company, formed part of its corporate social responsibility to help improve healthcare delivery and promote community wellbeing within its operational area. 

The items include a suction machine, oxygen cylinders, delivery beds, admission beds, an autoclave, and cotton wool, among other consumables. 

Mr. Kofi Amoako Asiedu, the Commercial Manager of Early Power Limited, presenting the items, said the company would continue to support communities in diverse ways to enhance social and health development. 

 Mr. Asiedu noted that the medical supplies and consumables would go a long way in strengthening the Bediako CHPS facility to deliver quality healthcare services to residents of Bediako and its environs. 

“The facility provides essential healthcare services to over 9,000 people, and these medical items will help improve maternal health, enhance child delivery, and reduce complications during emergency situations,” he stated. 

Receiving the items on behalf of the Municipal Health Directorate, Dr. Esther Priscilla Biamah Danquah, the Kpone-Katamanso Municipal Director of Health Services, expressed heartfelt appreciation to Early Power Limited for the gesture. 

She said healthcare delivery remained a shared responsibility and assured that the items would be used effectively to improve health outcomes within the community. 

Mr. Samuel Tetteh Kwashie Morton, the Kpone-Katamanso Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), commended the company for its continuous support toward healthcare development in the area. 

Mr. Morton disclosed that the municipal assembly was working closely with the health directorate to operationalise the newly constructed Bediako CHPS Compound to expand access to quality healthcare delivery. 

He reaffirmed the assembly’s commitment to supporting the health sector and other social interventions that would enhance the living conditions of residents within the municipality.
