Bibiani (WN/R), Oct. 8, GNA – The Asante Gold Corporation Bibiani Limited has announced plans to support 158 brilliant but needy students with scholarships to further their education.
The initiative formed part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts, aimed at promoting education and human capital development in its host communities.
Mr Emmanuel Aidoo, the Company’s Sustainability Manager, stated that the scholarship programme would provide financial assistance to deserving students at various levels of education, including senior high and tertiary institutions.
He said education was a key pillar of the company’s community development agenda, adding that empowering young people was essential for sustainable growth.
Mr Aidoo gave the assurance that Asante Gold Bibiani Limited would continue to invest in initiatives that would help to improve upon the quality of life of the people in its operational areas, particularly in education, health, and infrastructure.
He expressed optimism that the scholarship package would significantly reduce the financial burden on many parents and guardians and ultimately produce scholars in the Bibiani Municipality.
