Diaso(C/R), Sep 11, GNA- Mr Isaac Nsiah, the District Chief Executive (DCE) for Upper-Denkyira-West, has made a passionate appeal to both local and foreign investors to take advantage of the district’s rich rock deposits for a quarry company.

Speaking in an interview with the Ghana News Agency, in Diaso, the DCE highlighted the vast untapped potential of the area’s natural resources, stressing that quarrying could become a key driver of economic growth, job creation, and infrastructural development.

“Our district is blessed with abundant rock deposits that can support quarry activities on a large scale. What we need now is the right investment to harness these resources for the benefit of our people,” he said.

The Assembly, he indicated was ready to provide the necessary support and conducive environment for investors, including land acquisition facilitation, community engagement, and security cooperation.

The rock located at the new Denkyira community is 400 meters above the sea and 32 square metres.

He added that revenues to be generated from quarry operations could be used to improve roads, schools, and healthcare within the district.

Mr Nsiah urged the traditional leaders and community members in the Area to embrace potential investors and create a peaceful atmosphere that would encourage business growth.

Quarry investments would not only bring jobs to the youth but also open up the district to wider development opportunities.

The DCE reaffirmed government’s commitment to promoting public-private partnerships to transform the district’s natural resource endowments into sustainable livelihoods.
