Let us rekindle communal Labour spirit – Lotsu

By Daniel Agbesi Latsu

Kadjebi (O/R), Sept. 18, GNA-Mr. Solomon Lotsu, a resident of Tadzewu Kordzi, a suburb of Kadjebi in the Oti Region, has called on Ghanaians to revive the spirit of communal labour.

He said communal labour had significantly diminished in recent years.

Speaking during a communal labour exercise held at Tadzewu Kordzi on Thursday, September 18, 2025, Mr. Lotsu expressed concern over what he described as a “lackadaisical attitude” among the younger generation towards communal work.

Mr. Lotsu, who is also an agriculturalist, emphasised that participating in such exercises is not just a tradition but a civic responsibility that every citizen should embrace.

“Engaging in communal labour is a duty we owe to ourselves and our communities. It helps keep our surroundings clean and fosters unity among residents,” he said.

He urged citizens, particularly the youth, to actively take part in communal efforts to promote sanitation and community development.
