Amoafo (Ash), Sept. 8, GNA – Mrs. Grace Agyemang Asamoah, Atwima Kwanwoma, District Chief Executive (DCE, has visited Nkwanta, Amoafo, and Nwinsa to strengthen community ties and reaffirm her commitment to equitable development across the district.
The visit also formed part of her agenda to formally introduce herself to the people and thank them for the overwhelming support given to the ruling party during the December 2024 general elections. It provided a platform to engage residents, listen to their concerns, and outline developmental plans.
At Nwinsa, the DCE inspected land earmarked for the construction of teachers’ bungalows and a proposed STEM school. She commended the communities for their commitment to education and pledged the Assembly’s support to enhance teaching and learning infrastructure.
“I will make sure you also receive your fair share of the national cake as expected. You will not be marginalised as before, and together we will make this district a better place to live,” she assured.
Mrs. Asamoah further promised swift action to rehabilitate deteriorating roads, expressing her willingness to personally fund some reshaping works while lobbying for additional government support to tackle broader infrastructural challenges.
Nana Opoku Ware Saah Diatuou, Kontihene of Nkwanta, welcomed the DCE on behalf of the traditional authorities and pledged the chiefs’ readiness to collaborate with the Assembly to accelerate development. He, however, appealed to government to urgently address poor roads, inadequate educational facilities, and limited access to social amenities.
The DCE was accompanied by the District Coordinating Director, Madam Eunice Korankye, members of the Assembly’s management team, and constituency executives of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC).
She reiterated her commitment to ensuring that no community was left behind and assured residents that her office remained open to dialogue and partnerships to drive inclusive development across Atwima Kwanwoma.
