2024 Most Outstanding Teacher redefines KG education

Dambai (O/R), Sept 12, GNA- Ms. Fuseina Fuseini, the 2024 National Overall Best Teacher, from the SDA Basic School in Madina, Greater Accra Region, has made a significant impact in the field of early childhood education in Kete-Krachi. 

The dedication to teaching and commitment and delivering quality education have earned her national and international recognition. 

Despite receiving a three-bedroom house and a scholarship to study abroad as part of her prize, Miss Foteini remains committed to her teaching career. 

She emphasised that her recognition as the best teacher would not lead her to abandon the teaching field; instead, she is dedicated to giving back to her community, particularly in Kete-Krachi, where she was born and raised. 

Ms. Fuseini has enhanced early childhood education in Kete-Krachi by providing essential resources to seven KG schools. 

The resources include educational materials, teaching aids and other necessities to support the development of KG pupils. 

The beneficiary schools include Gyengyen M/A KG, Gyanekrom M/A KG, Kete RC M/A KG, Kete SDA M/A KG, Kete Shehu Umaru M/A KG, Kete M/A KG and Krasec M/A KG. 

Ghana’s most outstanding teacher 2024’s innovative approach to teaching and learning has redefined the way KG education is delivered in the Municipality. 

Her methods focus on creating a child-centered learning environment that promotes active participation and engagement in classrooms. 

She has developed creative ways to make learning fun and interactive, ensuring that young learners stay motivated and interested. 

The initiative of rebranding KG in expected to have a positive impact on the learning outcomes of young children in Kete-Krachi, setting them up for future success. 

Madam Helen Adwoa Ntoso, Member of Parliament (MP) for Krachi West constituency doubled as chairperson of the Gender Ministry in parliament, has expressed support for Ms. Fuseini’s initiative. 

She noted that the issue of providing a good foundation in KG has already been discussed and emphasised that every Ghanaian child needs a strong foundation from KG. 

The MP hopes that Miss Fuseini’s initiative will help achieve this goal and make a lasting impact on the community. 

Mr. Prosper K. Addo, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Krachi West Municipality, commended Miss Fuseini, Ghana Most Outstanding Teacher 2024, for her efforts in rebranding KG education in the area. 

The MCE assured her of the Assembly’s support in lifting the children in the Krachi West Municipality of the Oti Region. 

Mr. Addo stated that plans are alive to outline visions to provide quality education under his watch in the area. He further said the government is fully committed to providing quality education system in the country. 

The Headteachers of the seven Kindergarten schools that benefited from Miss Fuseini’s educational materials donation have expressed their heartfelt appreciation for her generosity. 

The Headteachers assured us that the donation materials would be kept in good use for their intended purpose. They promised to ensure that the resources are utilized effectively to enhance the learning experience of their pupils. 

The Headteachers also pledged to give their best to the young pupils in their various schools. They committed to providing a supportive and nurturing environment that fosters the academic, social and emotional growth of their students.
