Ho (V/R), Aug. 21, GNA – The Volta Regional Minister, Mr. James Gunu, has assured that the Volta Regional Coordinating Council (VRCC) will provide the necessary support to swiftly clear bottlenecks in the implementation of the District Road Improvement Programme (DRIP).

He said this will ensure that districts benefit from safer, motorable roads linking communities to schools, markets, and healthcare facilities.

Mr. Gunu gave the assurance when he met with the District Road Improvement Programme (DRIP) Coordinators, led by the Regional Coordinator, Mr. Wogbe Elliot, at the VRCC on Wednesday, August 20.

The meeting highlighted the importance of strict adherence to due process and proper maintenance procedures to prolong the lifespan of equipment, while also stressing humility and dedication in service delivery to the people of the region.

The Regional Minister reminded the coordinators that the success of DRIP reflects directly on the performance of the Mahama administration, urging them to demonstrate diligence, discipline, and commitment beyond the ordinary.

“Let’s get the work done—and done well,” Mr. Gunu charged.

Chief Director of VRCC, Mr. Augustus Awity, advised the coordinators to respect due process and procedures to ensure the longevity of their machines and urged them to remain humble in serving the people.

Mr. Wogbe Elliot, the Volta Regional Coordinator, speaking on behalf of the District Coordinators, commended the Minister for his support.

He pledged their full commitment to ensuring the programme achieves its objectives.
