Agogo, (Eastern), Aug 1, GNA -The Klo-Agogo Presbyterian Basic School in the Yilo Krobo Municipality of the Eastern Region, has appealed for classrooms to improve teaching and learning in the school.
Mr Aniewu Godstime, the Headteacher of the School told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in an interview at Agogo that a windstorm collapsed the wooden structure, which served as the classroom for the Junior High School (JHS) and Kindergarten (KG) block in November last year.
He said since then, teaching and learning had slowed down because of inadequate classrooms, and appealed for public support, saying, the school now had about 250 pupils and students.
Mr Godstime also appealed to Dr Albert Tetteh Nyarkotey, the Member of Parliament for the Area, and the Municipal Assembly to come to their aid.
When contacted, Mr Harold Kofi Kuma, the Assembly Member for the Klo-Agogo Electoral Area, told the GNA that he had officially informed the Assembly on the condition of the school children, saying, the Assembly was working hard to tackle the problem.
