Accra, Aug. 7, GNA – The Deeper Christian Life Ministry (DCLM) Ghana, has expressed deep sorrow and heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved families, following the tragic air disaster that occurred in the Ashanti Region on Wednesday.
The crash claimed the lives of all the eight on board the military helicopter- two ministers of state, government officials and some personnel of the Ghana Armed Forces.
A statement issued and singed by Pastor Dr. E. K. Tumsiah, National Overseer Deeper Christian Life Ministry, Ghana copied to the Ghana News Agency said, “on behalf of the leadership, pastors, workers, and the entire membership of the Ministry across the nation, we convey our deepest condolences to the President of the Republic, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, the Government, and the People of Ghana at this difficult time.
“We especially reach out in love and prayer to the grieving families who have lost their dear ones in this devastating incident.”
The statement said we join the entire citizenry in mourning this great loss. We recognise the faithful and sacrificial service of the departed, and we honour their memory with deep reverence.
“We pray that the God of all comfort will stretch forth His everlasting arms around the bereaved, granting them grace and divine strength. May the peace of God that passes all understanding keep the hearts and minds of our national leaders and citizens during this trying time.”
The Church admonished the nation to look to the Lord in this hour of grief, trusting Him for healing, unity and renewed hope.
“Though we do not understand all things, we are persuaded that the Lord reigns in righteousness, and His counsel shall stand. May the souls of the departed rest in the bosom of the Lord, and may their labour never be forgotten,” the statement said.
