Sunyani, (Bono), Aug. 7, GNA – The Third Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Local Government Service Engineers Association (LOGSEA) is set for Friday August 29, 2025, Mr. Richard Ben Debrah, the National President of LOGSEA has said.

Speaking in an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA), Mr. Debrah said the AGM would be held at in Koforidua, the Eastern Regional capital on the theme: “Equipping the Engineering Departments of the Local Government Service for Sustainable Infrastructure Delivery in the MMDAs.”

He said the AGM was in line with the legal mandate of the association and would discuss emerging challenges in the sector and stressed the commitment of the Association preparedness to promote climate-resilient infrastructure development in the country.

The meeting will further draw the attention of employers to the critical need for available resources and logistics to enable engineers perform their duties effectively and to ensure sustainable physical infrastructural development.

Mr Debrah regretted that recurring flooding had become a disturbing situation in the country, saying with adequate resources, the association would be in the better position to contribute to managing the disaster.

“With availability of resources we would be able to effectively monitor and supervise projects to avoid shoddy works in the construction sector,” he stated.
