Aboadze (W/R), July 22, GNA – Students from the University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) have undertaken an industrial tour of Twyford Ghana Ceramics Company Limited’s Sanitary Ware Factory in Aboadze, Western Region, to bridge academic knowledge with practical industry experience.
The visit offered the students hands-on exposure to Twyford’s modern manufacturing processes and technology, providing insights into how raw materials are transformed into high-quality tiles and sanitary ware products for local and international markets.
During the tour, the students learned about the company’s operations, corporate culture, and potential career paths for young professionals. A highlight of the visit was a session with a Twyford employee and UENR alumnus, who shared his career journey to inspire the students.
Twyford, a leading ceramics manufacturer in West Africa with a workforce exceeding 4,000, reiterated its commitment to developing young talent and strengthening ties between academia and industry.
Management expressed appreciation to UENR’s faculty and students for the visit and encouraged them to consider careers in the ceramics sector.
The student delegation, led by their faculty, thanked Twyford for the warm reception and valuable learning experience.
