Kadjebi (O/R), Oct. 29, GNA – The youth and women’s wings of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Akan Constituency will on Friday, October 30, organise a health walk at Ahamansu, a farming community in the Kadjebi District of the Oti Region.

The walk is aimed at promoting physical fitness, strengthening unity among party members and raising awareness about breast cancer.

Mr Mustapha Ahmed Diara, the Akan NPP Communication Officer, disclosed this to the Ghana News Agency (GNA), saying the activity formed part of efforts to raise awareness about breast cancer across constituencies in the Oti Region.

Mr Diara said breast cancer was one of the major health concerns requiring increased public awareness and education to encourage early detection and timely treatment.

He urged participants to use the occasion to educate community members on the importance of seeking medical attention when they noticed unusual changes in their breasts.

He said the walk would also provide an opportunity for party members, particularly the youth, to interact, promote healthy living and strengthen unity within the constituency.

Mr Diara said the initiative was intended to bring members together, renew their commitment to collective action and encourage greater participation in community activities.

He called on the youth, women and other party members to participate in the exercise to promote fitness, solidarity and breast cancer awareness.

The organisers are expected to use the activity to encourage community members to take breast health seriously and support efforts to improve public understanding of the disease.
