Tema, 24 July 2025. GNA – Golden Treasures International School has marked its 16th Graduation, Speech, and Prize Giving Day, honouring the achievements of 20 kindergarten two pupils transitioning to the basic school.
The ceremony, held on the theme “Empowered by Excellence: Guided by Integrity,” highlighted the essential values schools and societies must instill in young people, equipping them with the knowledge, skills, and mindset needed to achieve excellence in all areas of life.
Awards were presented to hard-working graduates in recognition of their outstanding academic performance.
The ceremony featured poetry performances and dance choreography by the pupils, adding a lively and artistic touch to the event.
Mrs. Elizabeth Esi Ogbey, the Deputy Director of the Tema Metropolitan Education Directorate, emphasised that the talents and intelligence of the pupils were the tools and values that would form their foundation for the future.
Mrs Ogbey encouraged the KG graduates to use their education to build meaningful lives that contribute to their communities and country, urging them to take pride in their roots while staying committed to their growth.
She praised the teachers and school administration for educating and shaping the future of the pupils.
She encouraged pupils and students to pursue excellence not only in their achievements but also in their character, emphasising the importance of honesty, especially in challenging times.
“Let your life reflect the greatness that comes from being both brilliant and principled,” she said.
Mrs Rejoice Laweh, the Proprietor of Golden Treasures International School, urged parents to be more involved in their children’s lives, stressing that “no detail is too small, whether it’s homework, friendships, or simple questions about the world around them.”
She called on the government to recognise private schools as essential partners in national education, urging equal support to enhance their operations.
