Sefwi-Adabokrom June 7, GNA- A total of 929 candidates have registered to sit the 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) in the Bia East District of the Western North Region.
The candidates are made up of 515 males and 414 females, from 30 public schools and nine private schools.
Speaking to the Ghana News Agency, Mr Patrick Boadi, the District Examination Coordinator said the Examination would be written in four centres namely Adabokrom,Camp junction, Fosukrom and kaase centers.
He explained that everything was put in place to ensure a successful Examination.
Mr Boadi used the opportunity to caution candidates to avoid examination malpractices since according to him, the West African Examination Council (WAEC) had put in place mechanisms to check malpractices.
He advised candidates and major stakeholders who have the intend to engage in any malpractice to stop.
Mr Boadi also warned supervisors and invigilators to be guided by the training received and work within accepted practices and the WAEC code of conduct.
The Examination coordinator further advised parents and guardians to corporate with heads of schools as far as the school selection was concerned so as not to repeat past mistakes where parents would blame head teachers for selecting wrong schools for their wards.
