Ahamansu (O/R), June 8, GNA- Iseguri Initiative, a Kadjebi-based non-governmental organisation (NGO), has donated soursop seedlings to the pupils of Ahamansu E.P Primary School in commemoration of the 2025 World Environment Day for planting.
Mr. Raymond Senanu Buami, Project Coordinator of the Iseguri Initiative, in presenting the seedlings at Ahamansu in the Kadjebi District of the Oti Region, said it was to promote environmental awareness and encouraged the pupils to engage in tree planting.
“This initiative fosters a sense of responsibility towards nature while providing nutritious fruit for the pupils and the community”, he said.
He said the NGO was targeting the school children with the tree planting message to “catch them young.”
The pupils were excited and pledged to nurture the plants to grow and bear fruit.
World Environment Day celebrated June 5, every year, is a global platform to inspire action towards creating a sustainable and environmentally friendly future for our planet.
