Hohoe (V/R), June 24, GNA – The Hohoe E.P. Senior High School (HEPSS) has taken delivery of five bundles of roofing sheets from the Hohoe Municipal Assembly and the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO).
The support is to help the school re-roof some classroom blocks that were affected by a rainstorm to enhance quality teaching and learning.
Mr Prosper Kumi, Hohoe Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), said it was the belief that the donation would take care of the situation.
He said the Assembly had engaged the contractor on a Coastal Development Authority (CODA) project which had stalled to ensure its completion with the release of the Common Fund.
Mr Kumi noted that the Assembly and the Member of Parliament were doing the best to support the School to make it a Model school in the region.

Mr Franklin Amesimeku, Headmaster of the School, expressed gratitude to the Assembly and NADMO for the donation which would help the School in re-roofing the classroom blocks for academic activities.
Mr Raphael Kumaga, Hohoe Municipal NADMO Director, said the Organization would reset its mandate within the Municipality, adding that it would embark on more education and sensitisation with the public in disaster prevention.
He said the Organization would also do its best to ensure that relief items were available to support victims.
