It urged candidates to participate in the online discussions from 8pm – 9pm on Tuesday.

Twelve national candidates and 50 regional candidates have been approved by the Elections Committee for the polls, scheduled for Monday, June 30, 2025.

In a previous release, the Committee touched on concerns regarding proxy voting in this year’s contest, emphasising that the procedure was “grounded in widely recognised electoral best practices.”

The decision, it said, was not taken lightly asadequate safeguards had been factored into the process to prevent abuse of the proxy system.
