Tokuroano (O/R) June 13, GNA- A total of five young mothers, comprising four expectant mothers and one nursing mother are among candidates sitting for the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) at the Tokuroano Centre in the Krachi East Municipality of the Oti Region.
According to Mr. Nathaniel Koomson, supervisor of the Tokuroano Centre, 327 candidates are writing the examination, consisting of 152 females and 175 males.
The Ghana News Agency witnessed a visit from the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Mr. Safo Nketia, accompanied by the Municipal Education Director and Municipal Deputy Coordinating Director, Mr. Yaw Kanjo, who gave words of encouragement to the candidates.
The authorities emphasized the importance of professionalism among supervisors and invigilators to ensure the integrity of the examination process.
Security measures were also visible, with police officers providing protection and maintaining a serene environment at the centre.
