As part of the support, the MP facilitated the provision of a hot meal for all 1,009 BECE candidates in the Lawra Municipality throughout the examination period at a cost of about Gh¢50,000.00.
It also included the donation of 1,020 mathematical sets valued at about GH¢11,000.00 to all the BECE candidates.

Speaking to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in Lawra, Mr Ziedeng expressed hope that the hot meal for the candidates on the exam days, for instance, would help save them from the challenge of feeding at the examination centres.
“I believe that when the candidates writing the BECE, are assured of food during the exam period, they will be concentrated and focused on their studies and that is necessary to enable them pass their exams”, Mr Ziedeng stated.
He observed that the mock examination would also enable the candidates to prepare adequately for the examination.
Since assuming office as MP for the Lawra Constituency in 2021, Mr Ziedeng, had continuously supported the BECE candidates in the Constituency during their preparation and the examination periods.
While wishing the candidates well in the examination, the MP encouraged them to take the BECE very seriously in order to pass and transition to the next level in their educational journey.
Mr Francis Cudjoe, the Lawra Municipal Director of Education, expressed gratitude to the MP for his continuous support to the education directorate and the BECE in particular.
“We are grateful for your immense contribution to our directorate as far as teaching and learning is concerned and quality teaching and for learning outcome”, he explained.
Mr Cudjoe expressed hope that with the support of the MP, there would be an improvement in the candidates’ performance and pass rate in this year’s BECE in the municipality.
