Big Ada, June 16, GNA – The Ada Youth Organisation (AYO), a dynamic youth group within the Ada Traditional Area, has inaugurated a Disciplinary Committee and a Constitution Review Committee to strengthen internal governance and promote organisational discipline.

The two committees were officially inaugurated during the organisation’s National Executive Conference held ahead of the 88th Asafotufiami Festival. The event brought together leaders from the various AYO sub-groups.

Mr. Samuel Teye Kabutey, Chairman of AYO, told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that although the organisation has operated under a constitution since its formal establishment in 1961, recent developments have exposed gaps requiring urgent amendments.

He explained that certain behaviours and actions within the group had contradicted the current constitutional provisions, thus warranting the formation of the Disciplinary Committee.

Mr. Kabutey also noted that parts of the constitution were outdated, necessitating a comprehensive review to enhance clarity and operational effectiveness.

Members of the Disciplinary Committee include Mr Stephen Aliker, chairman; Mr Con Amegayibor, secretary; Mr Theophilus Kposu; Nene Raymond Abayateye; Mr George Dugbatey; Mr Gideon Narh Adjaotor; and Ms Janet Adusu.

Members of the Constitution Review Committee include Mr Stephen Aliker, chairman; Mr Con Amegayibor, secretary; Mr Francis Gbebie; Mr Eric Perku; Mr James Korblah; Mr Richmond Agarmloh; Ms Dede Dugbatey; and Mr Gideon Narh Adjaotor.

The committees have been tasked to submit their reports at the next general meeting of the organisation.

Mr. Stephen Aliker, who chairs both committees, assured the GNA that the teams would work diligently to uphold discipline, ensure transparency, and keep all sub-group leaders informed.

He said their collective efforts would help guide member conduct and reinforce the foundation of the Ada Youth Organisation.
