Sunyani, (Bono), May 23, GNA – Mr Isaac Amponsah Badu, the newly appointed Bono Regional Director of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), has urged personnel to remain disciplined and work hard for the authority to achieve operational targets.
He said it was imperative for all personnel to remain committed to the core mandate of the authority, ensure teamwork and to enhance work productivity.
Mr Badu gave the advice when Mr Joseph Mensah, the out-going Bono Regional Director of the NHIA handed- over official documents to him at a short ceremony in Sunyani.
He said achieving the job target and the vision for the NHIA required a collective commitment from all the personnel urging them to work hard and improve their performances.
Mr Badu said: “we must all adopt the culture of excellence where every personnel is motivated to perform his or her best through collaboration, discipline, and innovative thinking.”
He said spirit of teamwork was a key driver to success and pledged to promote a healthy work environment, saying his doors were always open for personnel to share experiences and ideas that would transform the NHIA.
On his part, Mr Mensah, who had been re-assigned to the Volta Region, commended the personnel for their hard work which had improved the region’s Universal Health Coverage from 48 percent in 2017 to 60 in 2024.
Despite some operational challenges, he asked the NHIA personnel to remain committed, work hard and contribute their respective quota towards positioning the nation to achieve the UHC of the World Health Organisation by 20230.
