Shama (WR), May 30, GNA – The Lower Pra Rural Bank is hopeful of increasing its branches this fiscal year to shore up revenue and advance the operational efficiency of the Bank.

Mr. Ernest Nii Tackie-Otoo, the new Chief Executive Office of the bank told the Ghana News Agency that he had initiated the conversation with the Board of Directors to drive this agendum.

“First, I want all our mobilisation centres turned into full-fledged branches, so I am in touch with the Board to rope in more centres and possibly open new offices,” the new CEO added.

Mr. Tackie-Otoo said the Bank would look at diversifying investment to enable it stay afloat.

He said: “We will continue to invest in loans for women and so we encourage more individuals to buy shares and do more deposits.

“Also, customised products are being developed at affordable rates to increase customer satisfaction and rope in new clients.”

He said staff salaries and capital adequacy ratio, which stood at 10.1 percent, had all received the requisite attention.

Sharing his vision for the Bank, he pledged to advance human capital development of staff, while improving upon general operations of the Bank.

Mr. Tackie-Otoo said: “My tenure will also advance on good governance practices and effective risks management strategies.”
