Anokyi (W/R), May 30, GNA — The Management of Maaha Beach Resort has assured the public that there is no disruption in business despite a recent fire incident at the resort on May 28, 2025.

A statement signed by Madam Sylvia Osei Mensah, the General Manager of Maaha Beach Resort, and copied to the Ghana News Agency said the facility had been very stable since the unfortunate incident and had been rendering cliental services.

The statement said the fire reportedly originated from a nearby resort and rapidly spread due to the proximity to the premises.

Management clarified that the resort had 25 individual structures out of which one was burnt contrary to unverified reports making rounds on social media that the entire resort was razed by the fire.

It said despite swift intervention by emergency services and their internal safety team, the affected structure was entirely consumed by the flames.

“Management is grateful to report that there were no casualties or injuries, and all guests and staff were evacuated safely and efficiently,” the statement noted.

The management extended their deepest appreciation to the emergency responders and community members who assisted in containing the fire and ensuring the safety of everyone involved.

The statement said while this was a challenging time for the facility, they remained strong and focused on rebuilding, saying; “The safety and well-being of our guests, staff and community remain our utmost priority.”
