Onwe (Ash), May 31, GNA – Mr. Kwabena Boateng, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Ejisu Constituency, has reaffirmed his commitment to improving educational infrastructure and creating a conducive environment for teaching and learning within the constituency.

He assured school authorities of his dedication to advocating for the necessary resources and support to enhance the delivery of education in a modern and effective manner.

Speaking during a visit to the Onwe Senior High School, where he presented about two hundred desks to the authorities, Mr. Boateng assured the school of additional support so they could have their libraries and classrooms in the best of conditions.

“We all know that Ejisu is one of the biggest constituencies in Ghana and so it is not surprising that we have some challenges with educational facilities and logistics but as MP I am committed to using my lobbying skills and influence together with the Chiefs and people to solicit for support to improve teaching and learning in schools within the Constituency,” the MP said.

Madam Monica Addai Appiah, Assistant Headmistress at Onwe Senior High School, on behalf of the school commended the MP for coming to the aid of the school in a swift manner.

She said it was disheartening to see the third-year students always struggling with those in first year over desks to study.

She applauded the MP for the timely and significant intervention.

“We have some uncompleted projects in the school and others, including offices of the authorities which need some upgrading, and we trust having visited the school and taken note of these our MP would help us out in due course just as he has graciously donated these desks to us”, the Headmistress stated.

Accompanied by the Ejisu NPP Constituency Chairman and other party executives, Mr. Boateng visited the Edwenease Government Basic school to inspect the construction of a six-unit classroom block.

The MP also inspected the Onwe – Donaso stretch which is in a deplorable state.

He told the media that he had engaged the Regional Minister and the Municipal Chief Executive on the need to rehabilitate the road for the benefit of residents, commuters and other users.
