Buem MCE Seeks Support of Chiefs for development Initiatives

Jasikan (O/R), May 26, GNA- Mr Park-Davies Magyigbe, Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for the Buem-Jasikan Municipality in the Oti Region, has visited local chiefs to engage them on development initiatives and seek their support.

The MCE’s visit to Nana Kpesseh Edjei Brantuo of the Jasikan palace and Osabarima Antwi Adjei at Okadjakrom underscores his commitment to fostering community development through collaboration with traditional authorities.

Mr Magyigbe, pledged to work closely with the chiefs to identify and implement strategies that would boost revenue, ensuring sustainable development.

He assured the chiefs that efforts would be made to upgrade the roads in Jasikan town, the Worawora-Jasikan road, and other vital connections to the municipal capital.

The MCE highlighted his administration’s commitment to improving health services within the municipality.

He emphasised his administration’s commitment to completing stalled projects initiated during the NPP era.

Nana Kpesseh Edjei Brantuo and Osabarima Antwi Adjei, expressed their willingness to support the MCE’s initiatives and collaborate on development programs.

They stressed the importance of involving community members in decision-making to ensure project sustainability and benefits for all.

Osabarima Antwi also advised the MCE to avoid involvement in chieftaincy disputes, cautioning that it could create problems for the government and the Assembly.
