Works and Housing Minister to grace Diaspora Property Expo in Canada

Accra, April 11, GNA – Mr. Kenneth Gilbert Adjei, the Minister for Works, Housing, and Water Resources, is expected to open the Canada edition of the Diaspora Property Expo (DPE) as the special guest of honour next month.

The DPE which is aimed at fostering economic growth and development in Ghana, also seeks to provide a platform for Ghanaians in the diaspora to connect with industry stakeholders, learn about investment opportunities, and network with fellow investors.

Speaking in a video message at the launch at the Ghana Consulate in Toronto, Mr. Adjei, called on Ghanaians living abroad to take advantage of the Expo to build a legacy of prosperity for generations to come.

“Don’t just build homes, but build a legacy of prosperity”, he said

“Ghana is ready, the time is now and together we can make this vision a reality,” he added.

Scheduled for May 24-25, 2025, at the Delta Hotels Toronto Airport and Conference Centre, the event promises to be a landmark gathering for Ghanaians in the diaspora looking to explore property ownership and investment opportunities in Ghana.

Themed “Promoting Property Ownership and Investment in Ghana,” the Expo which would showcase a wide range of products, would also feature over 18 top Ghanaian Real Estate Developers including prominent companies, and offer patrons an opportunity to engage with these Developers, Financial Institutions, and Government Officials such as the Minister; Rev. Yaw Osei, Chief Director of the Ministry; and Dr. James Orleans Lindsay, President of the Ghana Real Estate Development Association (GREDA).

The event follows a successful edition held in March, in Philadelphia, United States.

In his remarks, Mr. Peter Kobina Taylor, the Consulate General, highlighted the positive outlook of the real estate business in Ghana, noting that the Expo would help create pathways for Ghanaians abroad to contribute meaningfully to the country’s growth.

For his part, Mr. Verus Nartey, Executive Director of Diaspora Property Investment Ltd, said the Toronto event would offer lively networking sessions and opportunities, and with stakeholders from both Ghana and Canada, and urged all Ghanaians living in the Diaspora, especially in Canada to seize the opportunity and take part in the Expo.

Mr. Julz Ossom, CEO of Canada-based Aim 2 Impact company, one of the organizers of the DPE 2025, disclosed that reputable Ghanaian companies including Lakeside Estate, Goldkey Properties, Devtraco, JL Properties, Nestas Homes, Waylead Ghana, Prabon Homes, Clifton Homes, and Blackrock Developers are expected at the Toronto event.

The Diaspora Property Expo 2025, is organized by Diaspora Property Investment Ltd, in partnership with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Works, Housing, and Water Resources, Ghana High Commission in Canada.

Other organizations associated with the event are GREDA, Aim 2 Impact, and Made in Ghana Consulting Ltd.
