Make Ellembelle attractive investment destination – PM charges DCE

Nkroful (W/R), April 17, GNA – Mr Charles Kwesi, the Presiding Member (PM) of the Ellembelle District Assembly, has charged the newly confirmed District Chief Executive (DCE) Mr Joseph Agyekum to endeavour to make Ellembelle an attractive investment destination.

This, he noted could be achieved by working hand in hand with all stakeholders and development partners to achieve their common goals, “commitment, collaboration, dedication and proven leadership should be the way”.

Mr Kwesi noted that ” the appointment of Mr Joseph Agyekum as new DCE, comes at a time when Ellembelle needed a leader who was not only capable but also fully committed to the quest for sustainable development and effective management of resources”.

Mr Kwesi said this during a special general Assembly meeting for the confirmation of the President’s nominee Mr Joseph Agyekum for the position of District Chief Executive (DCE) for Ellembelle.

The PM said the people of Ellembelle were counting on the Assembly Members to contribute meaningfully to the collective progress of the district and the people were observing and asked the new DCE to lead with transparency, accountability and fairness.

He also called on Assembly Members to rise above partisan considerations and rally behind the new DCE to deliver in the interest of the district.

He charged the new DCE to prioritize inclusive development ensuring that no community or group was left behind.

The Presiding Member advised the new DCE to “work closely with traditional rulers, opinion leaders, governmental organizations and development partners to create an environment where business could thrive, where the youth could access quality education and employment and the natural resources were managed well for future generations”.

Mr Kwesi assured the people of Ellembelle that ” this Assembly remains steadfast in serving your interest. We will work hard to justify the trust reposed in us”.

He said the journey ahead required patience, co-operation and a shared sense of purpose and expressed confidence that “we can make Ellembelle prosperous and forward-looking”.

Mr Kwesi appealed to all to work with the spirit of unity and renewed commitment to propel the development of Ellembelle to honour the memory of Osagyefo Dr Kwame Nkrumah.
