Accra, April 29, GNA – Ghanaian rap legend, Lord Kenya, has expressed admiration for rising star King Paluta, claiming that the young performer reflects his musical style.
Since his breakthrough in 2023, King Paluta has been one of the hottest music artistes in Ghana, and he is in contention for this year’s Artiste of the Year award.
Lord Kenya, on the other hand, rose to prominence at a period when Hiplife was gaining popularity in Ghana, like what King Paluta is experiencing today.
In an interview with Mizta Foxx On Kessben, Lord Kenya stated that he relates with King Paluta’s style, which reminds him of his younger self.
Lord Kenya’s acknowledgement of King Paluta suggests that he sees potential in him as a torchbearer for the genre, like how he himself was viewed during his peak years.
“One rising new artiste I see myself in is King Paluta. If you listen to his flow, it is much like my younger self,” he said.
The Ghanaian rap legend also disclosed plans to potentially feature King Paluta on a song that seeks to praise God.
“I have not stopped doing music because it is a talent God has given me and I will consider doing a track with King Paluta.
“But first of all, he has to take Christ as his personal saviour and together we can do a song together to praise God,” Lord Kenya said.
King Paluta has released his first single of the year, “Foko,” which reinforces claims of similarities to Lord Kenya.
