Otoase–Amanfro (E/R), March 12, GNA – Madam Agnes Afavi, an educationist at Otoase–Amanfro near Coaltar in the Eastern Region, has called on chiefs and philanthropists to assist with the construction of educational infrastructure in the rural area to enhance teaching and learning.
She said the chiefs and philanthropists owe it a responsibility to help in the educational development of their communities, hence the need to get on board to ensure educational development at Otoase.
Madam Afavi, the Proprietor of Emmanuel Preparatory School in the Ayensuano District, made the call after the Parent-Teacher Association meeting to deliberate on the completion of some classroom blocks to provide a conducive teaching and learning experience for learners.
She urged parents to invest in the education of their children to ensure they became responsible adults, while calling on the learners to reduce the hours spent on social media and concentrate on excelling in their studies.

Madam Afavi appealed to Nana Opare Kwaafo, Mawerehene of Aburi Akuapim, to support the school in completing a nine-classroom block from nursery to junior high school at Otoase Amanfro.
She said her school, established in 2019 with 16 learners, now has 220 learners, and called on the teachers to continue to impact quality knowledge to the pupils.
She appealed to non-governmental organisations to support the school with a bus to convey the pupils to and from school.
