I will work with all stakeholders to champion the development of Asanteman – Amoakohene

Kumasi, Feb. 06, GNA – Dr Frank Amoakohene, the Ashanti Regional Minister, has pledged to work closely with all stakeholders to speed up the development of the region.

He said his vision was to collaborate closely with key stakeholders such as traditional rulers, political parties, Assembly members, religious leaders, youth groups, civil society organisations, NGOs and other stakeholders, as part of efforts aimed at fostering inclusive governance and tackling critical regional issues.

At a meeting with a cross section of residents in Kumasi, he said among the primary areas of focus for his administration would be the enhancement of transportation infrastructure in the region to facilitate smooth mobility within the area.

The Minister said he would work to implement practical measures to ensure the safety and protection of both residents and visitors.

He highlighted his commitment to reviewing all stagnant and abandoned government projects with the objective of completing them to stimulate economic growth and improve the living conditions of the people.

Dr Amoakohene reaffirmed his commitment to prioritise strict adherence to environmental sanitation regulations in alignment with governmental policies, to bolster efficient waste management systems geared towards safeguarding the region’s natural resources.

On employment and economic empowerment, the Minister underscored the government’s dedication to creating job opportunities and providing support to local enterprises to promote and expand economic activities in the region.
