Presidential Inauguration: Dr Lawrence Tetteh calls for national unity in Ghana

By Iddi Yire

Accra, Jan. 8, GNA – Dr Lawrence Tetteh, Founder/President, Worldwide Miracle Outreach, and a renowned International Evangelist, has urged Ghanaians to put the 2024 general election behind them and to forge ahead in the spirit of national unity.

He noted that the new Administration of President John Dramani Mahama required support from all well-meaning Ghanaians to pursue the national development agenda.

Dr Tetteh made the call in an interview with the Ghana News Agency on the sidelines of the inauguration of President Mahama, which took place at the Independence Square in Accra.

He urged pastors and other religious leaders to seek God’s intervention for Ghana and to pray for those in authority.

He noted that righteousness exalts a nation, but sin was a reproach to any people.

Quoting from the Bible, Dr Tetteh said: “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land”.

Dr Tetteh extended congratulations to President Mahama and Vice President Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang upon their assumption of the highest office of the land.

He also appealed to the President and his appointees to be humble and transparent in their governance.

Dr Tetteh assured Ghanaians that there were better days ahead and that God’s hand was upon the nation, Ghana for good and prosperity.
