Ho, Jan. 8, GNA – Some residents in the Ho Municipality of the Volta Region have urged the President John Dramani Mahama to prioritise job creation during his reign.
They said the unemployment situation in the country was having a serious toll on families, especially the youth, and forcing some of them to engage in some social vices.
The residents also asked the President to appoint people, who are honest and trustworthy to occupy various positions to avoid corruption.
Gifty Modzaka, a resident, told Ghana News Agency that development of a country was hinged on the number of its citizens that were working and earning decent income.
She appealed to the President to endeavour to honour his campaign promises and ensure that the reset agenda was fulfilled to bring development.
Fransisca Saka, another resident, lauded the President’s 24-Hour Economic Policy and asked that its implementation start early to address economic challenges currently facing the country.
