Accra, Jan. 7, GNA – The Ministries Police Station and surrounding areas were vibrantly decorated in National Democratic Congress (NDC) colours as party supporters made their way to the Black Star Square for the Presidential Inauguration.

The stretch from the Ministries was filled with the loud sounds of vuvuzelas, car horns, and motorbikes, adding to the festive atmosphere.

Groups of party supporters, dressed in NDC colours, were seen singing, dancing, and celebrating on the streets.

Various vehicles were parked along the road, while the sale of party paraphernalia flourished.

Some supporters had music blasting from speakers set up in the backs of pickup trucks, while others traveled from distant areas to witness the event.

The swearing-in ceremony marks the return of President John Dramani Mahama following his victory in the 2024 general elections.

Heavy security was deployed to ensure smooth traffic flow and maintain law and order, while the Ghana Police Service had closed several roads in Accra to ensure safety during the proceedings.
