Accra, Jan 2, GNA – Dr. Joseph Siaw Agyepong, Executive Chairman of Jospong Group of Companies (JGC), extended the joy of the festive season to about 4,000 people on New Year’s Day.
He welcomed guests at his East Legon residence in Accra, donating food items and other gifts, as part of his charitable mission.
The beneficiaries, comprising the aged, women and youth, received items including bags of rice, cooking oil, soft drinks, canned fish, and cash.
Madam Emma Adwoa Appiaa Osei-Duah, Director of Communications and Corporate Affairs, Zoomlion Ghana Limited, said the outreach was part of Dr. Agyepong’s “people-centered approach and commitment to giving back to society.”
“It started some years back in the neighbourhood and now we have over 4,000 individuals…Dr. Agyepong and his family do this to share their joy in the year with the less-privileged,” she said.
Pastor Daniel Danso, Chaplain of JGC, led a praise and worship session as the activities took off.
“Dr. Siaw Agyepong is a devout Christian and an elder in the Church of Pentecost, who believes such acts of kindness would bring people closer to Christ,” she explained.
He is a successful entrepreneur with interests in various sectors, including waste management, ICT, and banking.
