Takoradi, Dec. 6, GNA – Prophet Stephen Adom Kyei Dua, a renowned prophet and preacher, has called on Ghanaians to choose peace over conflict, unity over division, and progress over stagnation.

“We call on all Ghanaians to join us in promoting a peaceful and violence-free election. Let us work together to create an environment that is conducive to free and fair elections, and that reflects the values of democracy, tolerance, and respect for human rights,” he said.

Prophet Duah, founder, and leader of the Philadelphia Second Chance Movement told the Ghana News Agency in an interview that in diversity lied strength and called for more tolerance and work towards a common goal of building a better future.

He called on the media to be circumspect in reporting adding, “The Ghana Journalists Association has guidelines for election coverage that emphasise the importance of accuracy, fairness, and balance in reporting. Avoid inflammatory language and unsubstantiated allegations that can incite violence or hatred.

“Instead, focus on issue-based coverage and provide voters with accurate information to make informed decisions.”

Prophet Dua later commended the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission, for her exceptional leadership and commitment to ensuring free and fair elections in Ghana.

Meanwhile, Madam Abundant Hayford Aggrey, the CEO of the Golden Mothers Vision International, an NGO has urged the Cyber Crime Unit to be on high alert to check the spread of inflammatory messages on social media.

She said, “Let us use social media to promote peace, unity, and understanding, rather than to spread hate speech and intolerance.”

Madam Aggrey said Ghanaians must recognised the upcoming elections as not just about choosing leaders, but about shaping the future of the nation… Let us approach this momentous occasion with a sense of responsibility, civic duty, and commitment to the well-being of our country.
