Bawumia government will advance progressive development-Owusu-Banahene

Chiraa, (B/R), Nov. 14, GNA – Madam Justina Owusu-Banahene, the Bono Regional Minister says the Vice President Alhaji Dr Mahamudu Bawumia the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer for the 2024 General Election, deserves to form a government to advance the progressive and holistic development of the nation.

She said among the Presidential Candidates contesting the December 7, polls, it was only few of them including the Vice President whose integrity could not be questioned and urged the electorates to vote for him and ignore the National Democratic Congress’ (NDC) “propagandist tactics”.

Addressing a large political rally at Chiraa in the Sunyani West constituency, Madam Owusu-Banahene urged the electorate to vote and maintain the incumbent Member of Parliament (MP) for the area, Mr Ignatius Baffour-Awuah. She said their MP, also the Employment and Labour Relations Minister was also known for his proven records and passion for development.

Madam Owusu-Banahene stressed she was fully convinced and confident that a ‘Bawumia government’ would reform and stabilise the economy for progress development, saying, “we need a corruption-free President to lead the nation now”.

“His digitalisation agenda has been accepted and recognised internationally, and through that a lot of jobs would be created for the youth,” she stated, saying “Dr Bawumia’s agenda to modernise the agriculture sector inspires hopes for the nation”.

“In fact, he is a visionary leader who is thoughtful of the plight of the younger generation,” the Regional Minister added.

She emphasised the need for the electorates to go all out in their numbers to vote on December 7 and entreated them to cherish the prevailing peace of the area as well.

The Regional Minister later interacted with some of the NPP executives in the area and asked them to remain formidable and intensify the electioneering.
